The communication process places particular importance on carrying out events that publicize the progress made in the activities set out in the various Operational Programmes which permit the different groups involved and the Fund beneficiaries to forward their plans to the Managing Authorities and/or Intermediate Organizations, as well as other events that emphasize the importance of the European Regional Policy in Spain and the role the European Union plays in this process.
That is why Regulation 1828/2006 requires the Managing Authorities of each Fund to carry out a series of activities on an annual basis, and why they and the Intermediate Organizations should hold specific events as part of the communication strategy, as set out in the various Communication Plans.
