The so-called structural resources have a very important rolein the European Funds of the EU budget. These resources are the so-called European Structural Funds and also the Cohesion Fund. Both the Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund have the aim of encouraging economic and social cohesion in the community space, via co-financing of public spending policies developed by member states and aimed at achieving said aim.
